Job description
The Engineering Purchasing Specialist role handles day-to-day tasks of the user equipment orders across our European offices and maintains IT equipment throughout the equipment lifecycle.
Main Responsibilities:
- Account/maintain IT equipment using a ticket system (e.g. JIRA) throughout the equipment lifecycle: sourcing, purchasing, receiving deployment, repair, redeployment, and retirement.
- Handle day-to-day tasks of the purchasing - following up with vendors, updating tickets, ensuring that products are delivered in a timely manner and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory.
- Follow up on outstanding orders with suppliers.
- Work within a given budget to purchase goods and services for an organization
- Contact suppliers regarding credits for damaged products or items missing from deliveries.
- Progressing purchase orders and reporting on supply issues to the Engineering Procurement TL.
- Monitor stock levels.
- Manage inventory, eg enter data concerning inventory.
- Properly assign equipment to employees.
Qualifications:
- Preferably previous experience in the procurement field of IT equipment.
- Language skills: English, Latvian.
- Understanding of modern purchasing processes and systems.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- High sense of responsibility and integrity, and ability to work without constant supervision.
