Engineering Manager (Software Development)
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Manager to lead our software development team. Key Responsibilities and Duties:
-Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
-Oversee the architecture and development of scalable, high-performance systems
-Establish and enforce development best practices, ensuring high-quality code and efficient workflows
-Work closely with product management, design and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals and deliver on time
-Facilitate technical decision-making, guiding the team through design and implementation processes
-Implement agile methodologies, driving iterative development and fostering continuous improvement
-Manage and prioritize team resources to meet deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
-Monitor engineering KPIs, optimize processes, and drive improvements in product quality and team efficiency
-Act as a liaison between engineering teams and other departments to ensure clear communication and alignment
Skills and Requirements:
-Experience: 7+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years in leading a cross-functional teams of 6+ team members
-Leadership: Proven track record of managing and mentoring engineering teams, with a strong focus on team growth and development
-Technical Expertise: Strong background in software engineering, with hands-on experience in technologies such as PHP, Python, Typescript, PostgreSQL and related tools and frameworks
-Architecture Knowledge: Proficient in system design and architecture principles
-Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
-CI/CD Practices: Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines and DevOps practices
-Collaboration: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and other stakeholders
-Tools Proficiency: Experience with development tools such as Git, Docker, and cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
-Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
-Communication: Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is a plus
