Job Brief

We are seeking a driven Legal Assistant/Junior Lawyer to join Paybis legal team and support our mission in the fast-evolving fintech and crypto sectors. This role is ideal for a professional with foundational legal experience who thrives in a dynamic environment. Youll collaborate with internal teams, manage contracts, ensure compliance, and contribute to our growth with a proactive and ethical approach.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, terms of service, and other policies.
Conduct legal research on regulations, case law, and fintech/crypto industry standards.
Prepare legal memos, correspondence, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with compliance, finance, and product teams to align legal efforts with business goals.
Monitor regulatory changes and suggest proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
Take initiative to manage legal tasks independently and maintain organized records.

Requirements

2-3 years of legal experience, ideally in fintech, crypto, or technology sectors.
Proficiency in legal research, contract drafting, and regulatory analysis.
Fluent in English and Latvian (written and verbal); additional languages (e.g., Russian) are a plus.
Experience in working with U.S. laws and handling cross-border legal matters is an advantage.
Basic understanding of blockchain or cryptocurrency laws is an advantage.
