This is the job.
- The newcomer will drive Data Engineering area, plan required activities in alignment with project plan, coordinate and align activities with Cloud and Data architects, QA, DevOps.
- In particular it means:
- Coordinate data engineering efforts between all involved parties, e.g., within team and other teams.
- Clearly communicate about development progress, risks, obstacles and propose solutions how to mitigate and resolve them.
- Work with others Data Engineers to ensure usage of development best practices.
- Support other team members in case of questions related to Data Engineering area.
- Participate in technical design development.
- Independently write and improve high complexity applications/transformations.
- Support data consumers by answering their questions.
- Develop and maintain data models within system.
- Participate in data analysis and data mining projects.
You have:
- 3+ years of experience in building data pipelines/transformations.
- 2+ years of experience in leading Data Engineering area.
- Experience with Azure stack ADLS, Azure Blob, Databricks, Delta Lakehouse.
- Scheduling tools Apache AirFlow or similar.
- Good understanding about PySpark.
- ETL/ELT understanding.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, including understanding of performance aspects.
- Good understanding of SDLC.
- Fluent English.
Seen as advantage:
- Apache Kafka.
- Basic Linux knowledge, including bash.
- Spark certified developer.
- Understanding of automated deployment including pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of deployment performed via IaaC.
- Knowledge of DBT.
- Azure DP-203 (Data engineer certification).
