For our nearshoring team, in cooperation with the team in France, we are welcoming you to join our team in Riga, Latvia, as a Linux Administrator with RedHat / SysOps Engineer!
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Manage Linux/RedHat Systems: Ensure high availability and performance of Linux/RedHat systems in a production environment, adhering to SLAs.
- Monitor and Troubleshoot: Identify and resolve system-related issues proactively, maintaining platform availability and compliance with SLAs.
- System Updates and Security: Execute regular system updates and patch management to keep systems secure and up to date.
- Disaster Recovery: Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity and system resilience.
- Automation: Configure and optimize automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Security Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to uphold PCI-DSS standards and other relevant security protocols.
Who Are We Looking For:
Ideal candidates will have:
- 2-3 years of experience in Linux system administration or a related role.
- A university degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- Expertise in Linux, ideally in RedHat and CentOS systems, with a strong understanding of cloud principles.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Ideally experience in business continuity planning and disaster recovery processes.
- Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system monitoring.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team while taking ownership of tasks and working autonomously.
