General Job description:

The person will be responsible for driving the growth of a company's merchant acquiring business. This individual leads a sales team focused on signing new merchants to the company's payment processing platform. The person will develop and execute strategies to expand the merchant base, increase transaction volume, and achieve revenue targets.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities of the role: 

  • Sales Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, setting targets, providing coaching, and ensuring high performance.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new merchants, expand market share, and achieve revenue goals.
  • Merchant Acquisition: Identify and target potential merchants, build relationships, and close deals to bring them onto the acquiring platform.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure a seamless merchant experience.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key merchants and partners to drive long-term growth.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and provide regular reports to senior management.
