The Opportunity

We are searching for 2 motivated Sysops/System engineers to join our team in Riga, Latvia. You can work from our office in Riga or remotely as long as you are located in Latvia.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Linux/RedHat systems in Worldline's production environment
  • Ensuring high performance in accordance with SLAsMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system-related issues
  •  Perform regular system updates and patch management
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing,
  • Maintain compliance with PCI DSS and other relevant security standards in the Linux environment
  • In a Cloud context, responsible for deploying, managing and operating systems on the Cloud platforms.

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show whats next people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
 
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer
  • Expertise in RedHat, CentOS, and Linux administration
  • Understanding of cloud architecture, principles, and best practices, with hands-on experience using tools like Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • Experience in business continuity and disaster recovery planning
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, and ability to optimize system performance.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • A proactive, analytical team player capable of working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Experience within financial services or payment processing is considered as a plus
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field is considered as an advantage
