Position overview:
The IT Operations Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing, aligning, and reporting on all projects and programs within IT Operations domain, covering IT Infrastructure, Public Cloud, Digital Workplace, Information Security, and Global Support.
Beyond managing the overall portfolio, you will take direct ownership of selected projects and provide guidance and coaching to product teams and project managers to ensure smooth execution and compliance to the allnex Project Management framework
Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with business partners and project managers across various functions to align portfolios, ensuring consistency and strategic direction. Additionally, you will partner with the IT Operations Architect and product teams to translate long-term roadmaps into actionable programs and projects.
Success in this role requires excellent communication and storytelling skills to articulate business cases, secure leadership buy-in, and engage stakeholders effectively. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Digital Workplace Experience: Take full accountability for the performance, security, and reliability of your servicesensuring our digital workplace stays productive, intuitive, and resilient.
- Lead Service Improvements: Continuously enhance security, cost-efficiency, and user experience through automation, patching, monitoring, and policy tuning. Drive innovation, not just maintenance.
- Drive Support & Incident Excellence: Oversee incident response and support quality across service desks and MSPs. Improve root cause resolution, ticket flows, and platform hygiene.
- Design & Implement Solutions: Deploy and evolve tools across identity, access, endpoint provisioning, and communicationintegrating Conditional Access, SSO/MFA, and secure mobility.
- Strategic Road mapping: Develop and maintain a forward-looking roadmap for Digital Workplace & Identity services, aligning with IT architecture and business needs.
- Documentation & Change Enablement: Produce clear documentation and user guidance. Support change management and training to drive adoption and self-service.
- License & Budget Oversight: Track licenses, vendor contracts, and budgets. Optimize resource usage, renewals, and asset lifecycles.
- Explore Trends & Translate Needs: Keep a pulse on industry innovations, shifting employee needs, and emerging tech. Turn insights into practical solutions and projects.
Required skills and experience:
- Practical experience managing and deploying tools like Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, Teams, Azure Virtual Desktop, Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA/SSO, and Conditional Access.
- Experience in manufacturing or shop floor IT/OT settings is a strong asset especially when it comes to supporting hybrid workplaces and edge infrastructure.
- Strong background in user provisioning, access control, asset and license management, and endpoint lifecycle governance.
- Familiarity with adjacent IT domains such as network security, firewalls, datacenter/cloud infrastructure, and OT environments is a big plus.
- Basic understanding of ITSM processes and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow), including incident, problem, and change management.
- Self-propelling and experienced in agile environments. You prioritize well, act with ownership, and collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Clear written, verbal, and visual communication. Able to present technical details in a way business users and execs understand.
- Skilled at managing vendor relationships, service levels, contracts, and multi-party delivery models.
- Bachelor's Degree in (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or Business Information Systems.
