Job brief

We are looking for an Internal Auditor (Part-Time) to establish and lead the companys independent audit function (third line of defence). This role is crucial for ensuring our operations remain compliant, efficient, and well-governed in line with MiCA, AML/CFT, DORA, and other EU regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, plan, and execute the companys internal audit program in line with MiCA and internal procedures.
Conduct periodic and ad hoc audits across all business units (operations, IT, finance, legal, marketing, etc.).
Perform at least annual audits covering MiCA and AML/CTF compliance.
Assess the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes.
Provide independent, objective assurance and recommendations directly to the Management Board.
Prepare audit reports, track corrective actions, and follow up on their implementation.
Maintain an audit register and ensure continuous improvement of internal control procedures.
Liaise with external regulators, auditors, and experts when necessary.

Requirements

University degree in Law, Economics, Finance, IT, or related field.
3+ years of experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance, or financial/operational audit (FinTech, banking, or regulated industries preferred).
Strong understanding of audit methodology, internal controls, and risk frameworks.
Knowledge of crypto-assets regulations (MiCA), AML/CFT obligations, DORA, and EU compliance frameworks is an advantage.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to evaluate both operational and regulatory risks.
Independence, integrity, and strong interpersonal skills to work with all departments while reporting directly to the Management Board.
Fluency in English; Latvian or Russian is a plus.
