JOB MISSION
We are looking for a Microsoft Systems Engineer who enjoys building, improving, and simplifying employee IT environments — not just keeping the lights on.
In this role, you will work with a modern Microsoft setup, combining cloud and hybrid technologies, and collaborate closely with Infrastructure and Security teams to make sure solutions are practical, secure, and scalable.
OUTCOMES
- Work hands-on with the Microsoft 365 environment and help the organization get real value from it
- Manage employee devices using Intune/SCCM
- Help shape and maintain a modern workplace for Windows and macOS users
- Act as an escalation point for more complex issues from the user support team
- Find solutions that balance technical best practices, security, and business needs
- Take ownership of parts of the Microsoft infrastructure across on-prem and cloud
- Implement and improve security measures such as MFA, Conditional Access, device compliance, and access controls
- Apply Zero Trust principles in a practical, real-world way
- Keep user access clean and reasonable (least privilege, just-in-time where applicable)
- Look for opportunities to automate, standardize, and simplify everyday work
- Document solutions and share knowledge within the team
- Stay curious and up to date with new Microsoft features and trends
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft environments (on-prem, hybrid, or cloud)
- Solid experience with device management, especially Intune
- Good understanding of Active Directory / Entra ID, Group Policies, and user access management
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Interest in endpoint and identity security and modern security practices
- A mindset for automation and improvement (PowerShell or similar tools)
- Basic experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (VPN, DNS, DHCP, VLAN)
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work
- Clear communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
