This role is offered as a fixed-term contract up to 2 years.

Responsibilities:

Manage the full monthly payroll process, including payroll calculations, reporting, and statutory submissions.
Prepare VAT, corporate income tax, and natural resources tax declarations in accordance with Latvian tax legislation.
Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely delivery.
Review vendor records, expense reports, and bank payments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support the Chief Accountant with day-to-day accounting activities.
Contribute to process optimization, automation initiatives, and the continuous improvement of accounting and finance processes.

Requirements:

Several years of relevant accounting experience, including payroll processing and tax reporting.
Strong knowledge of Latvian accounting and tax legislation, particularly in the areas of payroll taxes, VAT, and corporate income tax.
Advanced MS Excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
Relevant higher education or a professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate work within agreed deadlines.
Fluent Latvian and good English language skills to support communication across our international locations.
Experience with SAP, Jumis People, accounting software testing, or system implementation projects would be considered an advantage.
