Key job focus and skills, experience and competencies required:

As a Scientific Project Manager within Roche Services & Solutions (RSS), you will be responsible for driving scientific projects in collaboration with our Roche pharma Research & Early Development (pRED) organization. pRED translates world-class science into medical innovation through a diversity of technologies and talent located across seven research sites worldwide.

Your day to day responsibilities are:

We are seeking a Scientific Project Manager to support various tasks related to the administration, coordination and management of collaboration with external partners on scientific projects. This is a permanent position and the selected person will be on a minimum 1 year assignment supporting our Roche pharma Research & Early Development (pRED) organization in the field of Neuroscience & Rare Diseases (NRD). Our research and early development activities in NRD center around large and rare indications within four major therapeutic areas: neurodevelopmental disorders, movement disorders, dementias, and multiple sclerosis. The group is looking for collaborative individuals with excellent communicative and coordinative skills to advance the vision of the team.

As a qualified expert, you:

• Assume the project coordination and management of external collaboration for scientific projects incl. setting up of project plan and milestones. Responsible for evaluating milestone completion and monitoring spend
• Arrange scientific meetings, taking minutes, adjudicating comments on minutes, finalizing minutes
• Update and maintain documents on scientific projects (slide decks, websites, spreadsheets etc.)
• Keep track of action items and communication needs related to scientific projects
• Lead interactions with contract management and other Roche internal team
• Ensure communication and transparency with external partners

What can you bring to our team:

• Good understanding of scientific purposes of the supported projects
• Master degree in science studies or related field. Possession of a PhD degree in a relevant field is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of research processes with at least 3 years of experience working in a lab and/or a scientific environment.
• Demonstrated ability to interact constructively with academia and other stakeholders as well as coordinating research initiatives in a complex early research project environment.
• Working experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or R&D is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills - in particular perfect written & spoken English - are a must.
• Proactive and service-oriented individual with strong task-switching abilities and an open and flexible mindset.
• Ability to travel up to 10% with monthly short visits to Basel, Switzerland

Papildu informācija: Salary starts from 3400 EUR gross/monthly. Final salary depends on the successful candidate's level of experience, skills and qualifications.
