Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Game Artist to join our creative team in Latvia. As the Lead Game Artist, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a team of talented artists, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to create visually stunning and immersive casino games. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your creativity and contribute to the success of our exciting projects.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of game artists, providing artistic and technical guidance and feedback to ensure the highest quality of work;
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to create visually compelling and immersive games;
- Consistently improve department operations and communicate them to internal and external teams;
- Develop and maintain the projects pipeline, optimizing workflows and ensuring efficient delivery of tasks;
- Create high-quality game assets, including game elements, characters, environments, and animations, utilizing industry-standard tools and techniques;
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and deadlines, communicating effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations;
- Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and techniques, and share knowledge and best practices with the team;
- Distribute projects to game artists based on their skill sets and workload capacity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Art, Design, or a related field;
- Extensive experience in a similar industry, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in character design, environment art, UI/UX, and animation;
- Proven experience in a leadership role, with the ability to effectively manage and mentor a team of artists;
- Proficient in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, Photoshop, and other relevant 3D and 2D software;
- Strong understanding of art fundamentals, composition, color theory, and visual storytelling;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and work effectively in a team environment;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements;
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
