The Accounting Shared Services department is located in Riga and right now we are looking for a new colleague to join this team.

ARE YOU OUR NEW ACCOUNTANT?

This position will belong to General Accounting team. The main responsibility will be to ensure timely, accurate and high quality of general accounting tasks, work on statutory reports, communicate with vendors and cooperate with internal stakeholders. You will have an opportunity to gain experience in aviation industry operations and collaborate with various business units and suppliers located in different countries.

You are our ideal candidate if you:
Have an academic degree in Accounting/Finance
Have at least 1 year of work experience as an Accountant, preferably in shared service centre or international company
Have experience working with SAP and participating in process/system improvement projects - would be an advantage
Have good MS Excel skills
Have basic knowledge in VAT and other tax
Are business and solution oriented with a supportive mindset and strong sense of ethics
Are accurate, efficient, compliant to meeting deadlines
Have good teamwork capabilities
Have good written and verbal communication skills
Are fluent in English, written and verbal
Have a can-do attitude and you learn quickly
Are open to changes and improvements, focus on improvement of efficiency


In this role you will be responsible for:
Support Accounts Payable team in implementing new invoice processing software.
International VAT accounting and VAT filings.
Reconciliation and clearing of balance sheet accounts.
Other daily transactional and bookkeeping activities according to assignments from the manager.
Month-end activities.
Internal and external reporting.
Back up and support for other functions within the Accounting Shared Services department.
Follow the changes in local regulatory acts.
Identify areas for improvements and involvement in various process development initiatives.

Salary starting from 1450 Eur gross monthly, depending on candidate`s competences and experience.
