What do we expect from a Web Developer?

At scandiweb, we search for individuals who have valuable prior work experience in back-end frameworks, including MySQL, CSS, and local storage libraries. Since the majority of our projects are based on Magento, a strong understanding and proficiency in PHP-based frameworks are vital. Valuable experience will be considered as having up to two years in the field, so this role will be tackling more challenging development projects.

All candidates are expected to be familiar with PWA, React.js, and have some experience working with Shopify, Laravel, and Node.js. We encourage you to embrace a learning mindset, constantly seeking opportunities to expand your skill set through our solutions. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are of great importance to us, as is a confident proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Don't worry if your previous experience is slightly different. All new colleagues, whether joining as mid or senior-level professionals, participate in our educational program to align with scandiweb's processes and expectations. However, for a mid-level position, we do expect the relevant previous experience to match the offered salary level.

Please note that if you are joining scandiweb remotely, you will need to have your own hardware setup. After the probation period, it is possible to arrange a hardware upgrade.

You must have:

Ubuntu (Linux) operating system for work. If you want to keep Windows, install Ubuntu alongside it (dual boot) instead of using Virtualbox, WSL, or any other method.
It is recommended to have a CPU i5 or AMD equivalent, SSD with 512GB, and 16GB of RAM.
