Given our phenomenal growth, we are expanding our team in MGI. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced facility professional to join us. The role will be based in Riga with the opportunity to travel. Latvia MGI Tech, a part of BGI Group - one of the worlds leading genomics organizations. We are now looking for a full-time Facility Manager.
Objective: Facilities manager makes sure buildings, their grounds and infrastructures are safe, well maintained and secure.
Responsibilities
- Lead Facility management teams to support all Facility Management operations in MGI facilities in EMEA region.
- Set centralized Facility Management procedures and processes.
- Directing, coordinating, and planning essential central services such as heating supply, water supply, ventilation, cooling, humidification, electricity supply, security, maintenance of buildings technical systems, cleaning of building common areas, waste disposal.
- Maintain production cleanrooms infrastructure according to ISO13485 standard requirements.
- Planning and coordinating all construction, installations, and refurbishment works in assigned facilities.
- Oversee and supervise the quality of work for Facility Management employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
- Manage and review service contracts and be responsible for vendors management and coordination.
- Plan, control necessary resources and their rational use.
- Planning future development in line with strategic business objectives
- Responsible for Facility Management budgeting and budget control
- Reporting Facility management OKRs and KPIs
- Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation.
- Managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core business.
- Train and supervise Facility management teams.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an equivalent field. Experience in Medical devices manufacturing industry will be considered as an advantage.
- Higher education in facility management, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Good Latvian and very good English language skills.
- Proven experience in HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Low voltage and other engineering infrastructure maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills, focus on work performance and results.
- Good computer skills (MS office, video, presentation, etc.).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software is an advantage.
- Experience working with ISO13485, ISO50001, ISO27001, ISO27701 standards will be considered as an advantage.
- High sense of responsibility.
- Ability to prioritize in multitasking and fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills
