Responsibility

  • Financial Management: Organise, improve, manage and control the work of the Finance/Accounting Department. Organise, manage and control the external accounting services providers 
  • Accounting and Reporting: Recording/Accounting and Analysis of economic activity and preparation of management reports. Collaborate with the regulatory bodies and external auditors, to submit reports and requested information on accurate and timely manner
  • Compliance and External/Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with the international and local law requirements and normative acts. Collaborate with the state authorities and financial institutions, banks and cooperation partners on correspondence issues, including payment card processing companies
  • Planning and Decision-Making Support: Plan cash flow, budget and control its performance. Analyse and prepare proposals to improve financial control and financial management processes. Manage and control the company's investment projects. Review and implement the internal policy and procedures related to the main duties. Create and test financial models / cash flow models
  • Controlling Financial Position: Check all the main balance positions, banking accounts, creditors' payments, divide the company's revenue and expenditure by product and services. Ensuring that financial performance of the company is in line with approved monetization strategy and plans (e.g. ensure that fees are collected according to approved fee schedules and report of any deficiencies in fee collection to director and IT department). Manage cost optimization: revision of prices and conditions for services, including the customer pricelists. Control calculation of wages and salaries on the basis of the normative acts and submit the reports to the tax and similar state authorities accordingly
  • Risk Management Framework Development and Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain a risk management framework suited to the organisations needs. Ensure the framework incorporates all types of risks including financial, operational, technological, and reputational risks
  • Risk Identification and Assessment: Continuously identify and assess potential risks that could affect the organisation. Use tools and methodologies such as risk assessments and risk mapping to quantify and prioritise risks
  • Risk Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and oversee systems for risk detection, monitoring, and correction. Regularly report risks and their status to senior management and relevant stakeholders
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards relevant to the organisations risk exposure. Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and adjust risk management practices accordingly
  • Risk Mitigation and Strategy Development: Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks and reduce the potential impact on the organisation. Implement risk transfer strategies such as insurance and hedging where appropriate
  • Crisis Management and Business Continuity Planning: Lead the development and implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Act as a key leader in crisis management situations, making critical decisions under pressure
  • Risk Culture and Training: Foster a risk-aware culture within the organisation through training and communications. Ensure that risk management principles are embedded in organisational processes and decision-making
  • Financial Analysis and Management: Oversee financial risk management strategies including credit risk, liquidity risk, and market risk. Work closely with the finance department to align risk management with financial planning and analysis
  • Technology Risk Management: Manage risks associated with digital operations and technology infrastructure, including cybersecurity risks. Work with IT to ensure appropriate risk-based security measures are in place
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with stakeholders about the risk management process and how risks are being mitigated. Engage with external parties, including regulatory bodies, insurers, and external auditors, on matters related to risk
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and develop the risk management team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources. Provide mentorship and guidance to promote a high-performance team environment
  • Strategic Planning and Decision-Making Support: Contribute to the organisations strategic planning by providing insights on risk exposure and risk management strategies. Support executive management and the board in making informed decisions by presenting risk analysis and recommendations
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation in risk management strategies and tools. Promote continuous improvement in risk processes and systems through the integration of new technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

  • A qualified chief accountant
  • At least 2 years of previous chief accountant or CFO experience
  • Good knowledge of International Accounting Standards
  • Knowledge of management reporting methods and tools
  • Knowledge of external and internal auditing process
  • Problem solving/decision making and analytical skills
  • Are highly responsible, accurate and fast when managing your tasks
  • Have good command of PC and relevant programs, especially Excel (enhanced)
  • Work experience with banking or payment systems or with UK financial market regulators will be considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of UK tax incentives schemes, employee stock incentives and modelling
  • Fluent English
