A client of Solnams SIA - Cembra Latvia SIA is a new set-up in Riga, company registered in April 2023, as a software development hub for Cembra Pay AG.

Cembra Latvia SIA provides nearshore support, such as Software Development and Management, Application Management and Administration to the partner organizations: Cembra Pay AG providing Buy now Pay, later (BNPL) solutions/ and its mother company Cembra, a Swiss bank.

Cembra is not a bank in the traditional sense, but a financial services provider and provider of innovative, digital payment solutions. Cembra offers its customers simple and uncomplicated financing solutions for all life situations, such as personal loans, leasing, and credit cards.

The position is within Cembra Pay, a subsidiary of Cembra Money Bank (acquired by Cembra Money Bank). The team has been based in Riga for 10 years, but this role specifically belongs to a sub-team established in 2024. This sub-team's mission is to assume ownership and development responsibilities for various platforms previously handled by remote development teams.

The company is willing to extend the existing Software Development Team and is looking for Senior Full stack Developer(s) with experience who can join the Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work in the team of developers following defined standards and practices, implementing new functionality and components, as well as supporting existing code base, investigating issues, fixing bugs, and reworking vague code.
Actively participate in ongoing improvements proposing efficient technical designs, architecture improvements, quality control and automation measures to deliver the best possible quality within the time-bound working environment.
Full stack developer with work with Backend (~80%) and Frontend (~20%, mostly Angular + some legacy).
Collaborate efficiently within the team (Project Managers, Developers, Test Specialists, Business Analysts, Support Specialists, Technical Architecture and DevOps) to:

o express software improvement ideas and recommendations

o clarify requirements, issues, and incidents - grooming sessions.

o outline implementation concept and define sub-tasks.

o ensure the requested functionality is according to definition of done.

o deliver acceptable code.

o assist with testing and functionality acceptance.

o participate in deployment.

Participate in release rollout and component deployment.

The Company is setting up a new team that will take over Support and Development of a platform that has 4 in-house deployments (different partners) and 40+ components in the repository.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

2 years of experience in a relevant or similar role.
Relevant experience in moving business requirements, coordinating middle-sized projects, releases, and leading small team of 1-2 people working on project (upon needs).
Understanding of software development life cycle and software architecture.
Strong problem-solving skills and detail oriented.
Knowledge of the C# programming language and ASP.NET / .NET Core frameworks.
Some experience or desire to work with front-end JS frameworks (Angular, React, jQuery, etc.)
Experience working with relational databases (preferably: MySQL, MS SQL).
Experience with DAL/ORM frameworks (preferably Entity Framework).
Familiarity with design/architectural patterns (MVC in particular).
Experience writing unit tests.
Experience with Code Management tools (Git, Azure DevOps).
Good level of English intermediate or higher.
Alignment with modern technologies and frameworks.
Demonstrate understanding of non-functional requirements.
Desire to learn and actively use technologies and tools available at public clouds.

OPTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

experience with Open API, Rest API and SOAP Web Services.
experience working with Azure Cloud.
experience working/developing components for running in containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
hands on experience with: DAPR (dapr.io), CI/CD, DevOps, Application Security, NoSQL databases and OWASP.
proficient in writing Unit Tests.
experience developing Financial Systems.
experience with ETLs and DWH.
Familiar with various IT Tools: Code Versioning, Build and Deploy, Log Aggregators, Monitoring Tools, DevOps Tools, Testing Tools, etc.
Desire to learn and actively use technologies and tools available at public clouds.
