Responsibilities
- Conduct hazard assessment (health, physical, and environmental hazards) according to GHS (Globally Harmonized System)
- Be responsible for classifying products in accordance with world-wide regulations including transportation of Dangerous Goods, Chemical Inventories, Commerce Control classifications like customs tariff codes, chemical weapons, drug precursors etc.
- Promote the safe and responsible use of allnex products by preparing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product regulatory labeling for all regions.
- Provide technical expertise and support to allnex personnel and customers in the areas of hazard and global regulatory requirements for our products, R&D/TS&D samples and purchased raw materials.
- Help support and maintain the central Product Stewardship database system (Wercs).
- Work with Plant and R&D product stewards to process, review, and approve their new product requests.
Required skills and experience
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in chemistry, toxicology or environmental science is preferred.
- Experience chemical industry, in hazard assessment, SDS/label authoring or product regulatory compliance is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the use of database systems is crucial.
- Good verbal and written English skills.
