·      Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance, product development, and risk management in existing and new markets

·      Implement and maintain effective compliance programs, policies, and procedures to minimize legal risk exposure

·      Advise on corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, corporate policies, and shareholder agreements

·      Ensure compliance with laws and regulations of the industry

·      Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and contracts

·      Conduct legal due diligence and assist in deal structuring

·      Advise on corporate governance and maintain accurate corporate records. Perform legal due diligence on different legal topics, including new markets research

·      Provide legal advice on deal structuring and assist with drafting and negotiating transaction documents

·      Define tasks for external legal cooperation partners, coordinate their work, and negotiate fee arrangements, oversee the quality and cost-effectiveness of legal services

·      Law degree from university; Masters in law will be considered as an advantage

·      4+ years post university work experience with a proven track record in fintech, reputable law firm, preferably in financial services practice, or legal function of an investment firm, bank or other regulated financial institution in the EU

·      Proven track record in regulatory compliance and contract management

·      Sound contract drafting skills

·      Strong understanding and knowledge of corporate law and financial services regulation related to consumer lending and its regulatory compliance

·      Very good legal Latvian and English, including hands-on experience in legal writing
