We are seeking an exceptional Property Manager/Hotel Manager with outstanding leadership skills to lead our team and provide an unmatched experience for our residents.
Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and strong leader to take charge as the Property Manager/Hotel Manager of our student dormitory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, excellent command of the English language, and the ability to manage operations across four key departments: tenant portfolio, housekeeping, reception, and maintenance. Mainly you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our diverse tenant portfolio, consisting of young students, and ensuring that our property operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a multi-department team (housekeeping, reception, maintenance) to consistently achieve high operational standards.
- Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching to ensure your team delivers excellent service.
- Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for staff, ensuring a motivated and efficient workforce.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills in both written and spoken English to lead and coordinate teams effectively.
Tenant Portfolio & Resident Relations:
- Take charge of the tenant experience, from onboarding to lease management, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all residents.
- Handle tenant inquiries and complaints with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Maintain regular communication with residents to foster a welcoming and supportive living environment.
- Enforce house rules and address any conflicts or issues promptly, maintaining a safe and respectful community.
Operations & Property Maintenance:
- Oversee daily property operations, ensuring all areas are well-maintained and functional.
- Coordinate the maintenance team to ensure prompt repairs and preventative measures are carried out efficiently.
- Conduct regular property inspections to uphold cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
- Liaise with external contractors and vendors as needed to support operations.
Event Planning & Community Building:
- Lead the planning and execution of events and activities to create a vibrant student community.
- Work closely with student organizations and external partners to enhance residents' living experience through social and academic initiatives.
Administrative & Financial Management:
- Manage operational budgets, including staff costs, maintenance, and event expenses.
- Oversee rent collection, invoicing, and work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations, keeping property records up to date.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Hotel Manager, Property Manager, or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality or real estate sector.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage, inspire, and lead teams across multiple departments.
- Excellent command of English (both written and spoken), with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a large and diverse tenant portfolio, particularly young adults, with patience and professionalism.
- Experience in event planning and community engagement is a plus.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with property management software is an asset.
