One of the highest rated restaurants in Riga, Latvia, is looking for a new Head Chef to start a prosperous journey together. Restaurant Barents is looking for someone creative, open minded, goal oriented, who knows Northern tastes and can highlight them in a new and surprising ways.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
• Develop and design seasonal menus using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
• Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations.
• Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.
• Collaborate with restaurant management to create a seamless dining experience.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine-dining establishment (minimum of 3 years).
• Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills.
• Expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and plating techniques.
• Deep understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Passion for culinary innovation and a commitment to excellence.
