SEO Team Lead

Location: Onsite or Hybrid

Type: Full-time

Experience: 5+ years in SEO, 1-2 years in a leadership role

Your Mission

As our SEO Team Lead, youll lead the entire SEO function, manage a growing SEO team, and define strategies that directly impact revenue. Youll collaborate with the CSEO, developers, content writers, designers, and marketers to ensure our sites are optimized, discoverable, and outperform competitors in search across all regions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the overall SEO strategy across multiple eCommerce sites and languages
Manage and mentor a team of SEO specialists and content writers
Oversee technical SEO audits, implementation, and long-term improvements (crawlability,
indexing, site speed, structured data, hreflangs)
Drive scalable content strategies, topical authority, and keyword opportunity mapping
Work cross-functionally with developers, UX, PPC, and analytics teams
Monitor competitors and adapt strategies based on market and SERP shifts
Build detailed SEO performance reports and forecasts for management
Own organic growth KPIs and continuously optimize towards performance targets

Requirements

5+ years of SEO experience, including 1-2 years in a lead or managerial role
Deep understanding of both technical SEO and content SEO in an eCommerce setting
Hands-on experience with SEO tools (e.g., GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog,
Sitebulb)
Success with international/multilingual SEO and platforms like WooCommerce, WPML, or
Shopify
Strong understanding of Googles algorithm, structured data, canonicalization, and indexing
principles
Experience building and scaling SEO teams and processes
Strong reporting and data analysis skills (Google Looker Studio, GA4, BigQuery optional)
Excellent communication and leadership skills

Nice to Have

Experience in the health, or fitness industry
Familiarity with SEO automation or scripting (e.g., Python, Google Sheets API)
Understanding of CRO, UX, and how SEO intersects with other acquisition channels Agency or multi-brand experience is a big plus
