Our client is an international FMCG company that has been successfully operating in the Baltic region for more than 15 years.

We are currently looking for a Chief Accountant
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small yet highly professional team and take an important role in ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. You will oversee daily accounting processes and contribute to strategic financial decisions and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate full-cycle accounting.
- Organise financial and tax accounting in accordance with legal requirements.
- Prepare and submit financial and tax reports to relevant authorities.
- Analyse financial results and prepare management reports for leadership.
- Control inventory balances and oversee material asset accounting.
- Coordinate orders and ensure timely execution.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Handle payroll accounting (for 5 employees).
- Optimise processes and implement new accounting solutions.
- Cooperate with auditors, the Lithuanian accounting team, and company management.
Requirements:
- Higher education in finance, accounting, or economics.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Chief Accountant (experience in the retail sector is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of financial and tax accounting; IFRS familiarity is a plus.
- Ability to independently manage the full accounting cycle.
- Analytical thinking and experience in preparing financial and management reports.
- Ability to work with 1C (the company plans to switch to a new system – openness to change is important).
- Good knowledge of Latvian and English or Russian for communication with management.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- Responsibility, accuracy, flexibility, and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
