Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee our food production operations. The ideal candidate with their hands-on approach will ensure efficient production processes, maintain high quality and food safety standards, lead production teams effectively, and drive continuous improvement in productivity and cost control.
The Production Manager reports to senior leadership and plays a key role in meeting production goals while complying with regulatory and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations:
- Oversee daily production activities to meet planned schedules and output targets.
- Develop, implement, and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve performance goals.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor production staff; schedule and assign tasks.
- Train employees on standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development initiatives.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP+, Kosher, Halal).
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production areas and equipment.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to maintain consistency and regulatory compliance.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
- Prepare and present production reports to senior management.
- Lead initiatives to enhance production workflows and operational efficiency.
Outsourced Services:
- Organize and oversee the work of outsourced services to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role (preferably in the food industry)
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- A relevant technical or engineering degree is preferred.
