JOB MISSION
We're looking for an analyst to help protect Sun Finance from internal fraud — suspicious activity by employees, contractors, or through misuse of internal system access.
You'll join our Fraud Prevention team, reporting to the Head of Fraud Prevention, and work closely with colleagues in Risk Management, IT, Information Security.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor system access and transaction activity to spot unusual behavior
- Investigate suspected internal fraud cases and document your findings
- Work with IT and Security teams to improve how we detect internal threats
OUTCOMES
- Measurable reduction in internal fraud losses across Sun Finance products
- Insider threat prevention - Early detection of potential internal threats before significant damage occurs
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working with internal fraud prevention
- Experience extracting insights from large datasets, identifying outliers, and building analytical reports to detect abnormal behavior patterns
- Comfortable writing SQL queries to analyze large datasets
- Prior experience in fintech, banking, payments, or lending environments is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills in Latvian and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different countries and teams
