Senior Accountant

As a member of the newly established reporting and controlling team in Riga you will have the opportunity to create your work environment and be hands on taking over the accounting tasks to be performed in Riga and continue to provide high quality finance services to the business.

What will you achieve in the next 12 month?

● You will work together with the team on new process development and existing process improvement activities.
● Closely with other team members will be preparing financial reports, account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned
● You will be accountable for ensuring that all transactions related to financial processes are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
● Make sure that account reconciliations and analysis are performed,errors and discrepancies resolved.
● Own the periodical closing procedures, deep dive into account analysis to ensure balances are correct.
● Support accounting manager in financial operations to deliver timely, relevant and reliable financial reporting (incl. monthly, quarterly and annually reporting) in accordance with IFRS and Group accounting policies.
● Work closely with business control functions to keep track of business development, ensure proactive actions and analysis from a financial perspective.
● Develop/update business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
● Be a financial partner to the business.  

Do you qualify?

● A university degree preferably in accounting, finance or business.
● Be fluent in written and spoken (business) English.
● 5+ years of progressive work experience in financial functions e.g. external auditing, finance controlling, financial reporting
● Prior experience in managing year-end processes and liaising with auditors, as well as a good working knowledge of the group reporting process in a multi entities & currencies environment.
● Good understanding of IFRS, key accounting concepts and principles.
● Advanced MS Office skills especially MS-Excel.
● Prior experience of working with SAP, Swedish B1 or B2 level, a professional accounting qualification and prior experience in Hyperion would be considered as an advantage.
