Adaptive Media is a fast-growing Latvian start-up operating globally in e-commerce and affiliate marketing. Our business is product comparison websites and we serve more than 20 million customers per year who are looking for the best product choice. We have been doubling in size in previous years due to the global expansion of the e-commerce sector and have business in more than 30 countries across 3 continents. Our core competencies are PPC, SEO, and affiliate marketing. Adaptive Media was founded in 2014 and has offices in Riga and Valmiera.

Your role in the company

Our company is experiencing rapid growth and also our IT team is growing. Our IT team mostly works on front-end and back-end development of our product comparison websites. The key focus of the nearest future is scaling and automation of our business and IT processes. Thus, we are looking for an IT team lead who would help us achieve our ambitious goals by managing the IT team, working hand-in-hand with business, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring the IT processes are running smoothly and efficiently. The career path for this position would be becoming a CTO for Adaptive Media.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a small IT developer team (3 people currently) and outsourced development partners
• Manage IT team workflow - pooling and prioritizing tasks, managing backlog, sprint planning, etc.
• Make sure the software development process is carried out efficiently and up to good quality standards
• Responsible for IT infrastructure (consisting of more than 200 domains and hostings)
• Review and develop IT systems architecture
• Implement and maintain IT development quality control
• Hire new team members when necessary
• Develop and prioritize IT-related tasks
• Collaborate with other teams
• Guide the technical vision and execution of all software initiatives
• Establish best development practices and standards within the company
• Manage projects in-house and outsource partner

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least 2 years in an IT team lead role
• At least 3 years of experience in working with software, web, or system engineering
• Good knowledge of development processes, methodologies, and knowledge of best practices in programming
• Excellent team management skills, including proven experience in leading the development team
• Ambition to grow your skills as a development team lead while being in charge of all technical aspects of the company
• Bachelor degree in IT/Computer science
• Ability to work independently and prioritize your tasks
• Continuous self-improvement via various courses, conferences, etc.

Beneficial Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience with internet marketing (paid marketing, SEO, affiliate marketing)
• Knowledge and experience with Wordpress coding and architecture
• Having experience and interest in finding new, unconventional approaches/solutions to add value to the business

Salary and Benefits

• An office in the center of Riga or Valmiera

• Full-time salary (40 hours/week) based on experience 2900-3600 EUR/gross
