Retail Credit Risk Manager
The purpose of the role involves the management of a mortgage, consumer loans and credit cards credit risk and parameters for new and existing portfolios in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia markets. Oversee internal controls for private lending area to ensure adherence with internal credit risk policies and relevant external requirements. Act as primary interface with credit department on the risk parameters and conditions. Manage credit principles and procedures for targeting and underwriting profitable private credit products, ensuring continuous monitoring and validation of the credit decision outcomes in line with credit strategy. Lead the initiatives towards factors impacting new and existing portfolio credit performance and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Based on the analysis of internal and external data (consumer habits, external databases, regulation as well of internal loan performance data, flow reports etc.) gain a complete picture of company`s competitiveness in lending risk strategies and use it for proper credit risk parametrization
- Contribute to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes and workflows by applying in-depth credit risk knowledge and industry expertise within Risk Management
- Participate in developing, testing, and optimizing credit policies and lead the implementation of those policies, processes and other related initiatives through trainings and instructions to Retail organization
- Ensure an efficient Credit underwriting process at Retail organization
- Monitor lending risk metrics and provide insights ensuring lending portfolio develops in a level of agreed Risk appetite
- Ensure compliance within delegated authorities and compliance/audit requirements including adherence to relative government or governing body legislative policies
- Take part in Credit risk model development and lending process automatization
- Maintain agile cross functional cooperation with Growth managers, Customer insight unit, Data management team, Performance management team, Product managers and other Business lines
- Proactively plan, deliver and follow-up of personal tasks timely and according to the set quality standards, budget and Luminor values
- Contribute to company performance through effective collaboration and acting with energy, enthusiasm and commitment
Skills and experience:
- 3 years’ experience with Private lending processes, Credit Risk strategies, data analytics
- Familiar with Risk metrics and Risk models
- Preferably master's degree in Finance, Economics etc. field
- Experience in financial services
- Understanding of Retail banking and lending businesses
- Project management
- Argumentation strengths
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Creative and flexible
- Fluent in English and local language

- A salary range for this position at 2600-3500 EUR (Gross*), which is to be determined depending on the level of experience and competencies of the selected candidate
