Join our team! We are looking for a Data Protection Expert in Riga HQ office!

An exciting opportunity for somebody looking to apply theoretical data protection knowledge in practice!

Responsibilities:

• Provide advice in the development and implementation of 4finance group internal policies, procedures and other documentation regarding processing and protection of personal data
• Participate in development of data protection related IT business requirements in existing platforms and new projects
• Act as the contact point and cooperate with IT to facilitate development of data protection related features in internal systems to processing of personal data
• Inform and advise the 4finance group companies and their employees who carry out processing of their obligations pursuant to applicable data protection provisions
• Monitor compliance with applicable data protection provisions and with the policies of the 4finance group in relation to the protection of personal data
• Perform ad-hoc data protection compliance assessments and in-depth audits of business processes
• Maintaining and improving existing Data Protection framework

Required skills:

• Very good understanding of practical applications of GDPR
• Strong analytical skills
• High attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy
• Conceptual problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently, present and defend the results obtained
• Proficiency using MS Excel
• Fluency in English
• General education and professional skills/abilities
• University degree in a Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of experience in Data Protection area
• Experience in the Tech, FinTech or Banking industry
• Experience in IT projects will be considered as an advantage
