Essential Skills and Experience relevant to the role:
- At least 3 years of previous experience in internal audit
- Analytical and creative thinking
- Strong logical thinking, ability to understand the causes and relationships, logical structures, and flow of processes
- Ability to take initiative
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- High sense of responsibility and self-discipline
- Interest in innovations and willingness to work in the fast-evolving fintech business
- Excellent knowledge of Latvian and English in speaking and writing and good knowledge of Russian
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification will be considered as advantage
- Previous experience in banking and financial structures will be considered as advantage
Key Objectives & Responsibilities of the role:
- Draft and follow audit plan
- Perform internal audits (operational, AML, special projects, etc.) in accordance with audit standards
- Follow timely implementation of regulatory and external audit recommendations.
- Participate in reviewing different processes and suggest modifications designed to increase efficiency, performance, and results
- Participate in the review of systems in place to ensure that they allow for internal controls that are effective and cost-efficient
- Participate in the review of DECTA’s practices while ensuring that they fully comply with established policies and procedures
- Act as a business partner to management regarding internal controls, processes and systems efficiency and risk management
