Make the change as a Senior Tax Expert
Senior Tax Expert will join the Luminor Tax Team which is responsible for ensuring Luminor’s compliance with the tax laws in jurisdictions in which Luminor operates and providing the assistance to business in managing tax risk. Senior Tax Expert will actively contribute to evaluation and improvement of the effectiveness of tax risk management and control in Luminor, provide general taxation advice and support to all areas of our business.
As a Senior Tax Expert you have the opportunity to:
- Perform comprehensive tax risk management in all Luminor Group
- Control accuracy of taxes assessed and perform tax due diligence
- Provide tax advice and support to other departments and Group entities, process requests from direct manager and pan-Baltic divisions
- Develop and maintain internal tax instructions and guidelines, shape efficient tax processes within the organization
- Represent primary contact in communication with the Latvian tax authority
- Constantly seek for tax effective solutions and structures, developing and leading tax-savings opportunities and tax solutions through working closely with multiple stakeholders
- Constantly monitor developments in tax area, evaluate impact on Luminor and ensure proper implementation
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Technical proficiency in direct taxes and value added tax
- Strong knowledge of tax law and international tax environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Tax Law or similar field
- Excellent command of written and spoken Latvian and English
- Project management and strong analytical skills as well as ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced work environment and “can-do” attitude, high attention to detail
