MOLECULAR BIOLOGY LABORATORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Required Qualifications
1. Degree in life science, biology or related field;
2. Experience in laboratory management, such as laboratory equipment and consumables management. Experience with 5S management is preferable.
3. More than 1 year of working experience in related laboratory management.
4. Good Latvian and English language skills are required.
5. Excellent organization and communication skills are required.
6. The ability to work effectively as an individual and as a part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for laboratory equipment management, including daily maintenance, contacting engineers about repairs, annual inspections, etc.
2. Laboratory discipline management including weekly lab inspection and 5S management.
3. Establish and implement laboratory rules and regulations, follow-up modification, optimization, etc.
4. Laboratory asset management and maintenance, public resource allocation, and coordination.
5. Assist the laboratory manager to be responsible for the daily management and improvement of the laboratory, conduct daily inspections of the laboratory, complete the inspection report, and track the rectification situation;
6. Cooperate with the supply chain team to be responsible for the procurement of laboratory common consumables and reagents, inventory management, and maintaining safe level stock for laboratory usage.
7. Waste management. Contact waste disposal company to retrieve waste regularly and maintain the cleanness of the waste room.
8. Solve some other problems from colleagues or finish tasks assigned by the manager.
