Senior Accountant

As a member of the newly established reporting and controlling team in Riga you will have the opportunity to create your work environment and be hands on taking over the accounting tasks to be performed in Riga and continue to provide high quality finance services to the business.

What will you achieve in the next 12 month?

• Oversee and process day-to-day accounts payable accounting  
• Oversee and process, matching and coding invoices. Payment processing. Monitoring and clearing aged vendor invoices.  
• Liaise with suppliers and manage their reconciliations. Manage banking account changes across all suppliers. Setting up new suppliers and maintaining up to date records.    
• Conducting month end closing and year-end closing procedures
•  Participate in internal and external audit processes    
•  Implement and ensure that global accounting policies and procedures, agreed internal processes are implemented and followed
• Proceed as a subject-matter expert and/or key user for SAP system  
• Ensure assigned tasks are performed efficiently and with professional manner

What we are looking for:

• A university degree preferably in accounting, finance or business.
• Be fluent in written and spoken (business) English.
• 3+ years of progressive work experience in financial functions e.g.; Experience working with Procure-to-Pay process and AP accounting.
• Prior experience in managing year-end processes and liaising with auditors, as well as a good working knowledge of the group reporting process in a multi entities & currencies environment.
• Good understanding of key accounting concepts and principles.
• Advanced MS Office skills especially MS-Excel.

Prior experience of working with SAP would be considered as an advantage.
