ASBIS Baltics SIA, part of the ASBISc Enterprise, is a IT technology distributor working in EMEA countries. At the moment we are in search of a Pre-Sales Engineer!

Requirements:

  • The ability to explain the competitive advantages of the offered products and services, the ability to differentiate from competitors;
  • Experience in installing and integrating server solutions and SAN storage systems;
  • Experience with virtualization systems at the level of creating high availability clusters;
  • Reading and understanding technical documentation in English without an interpreter is a must, speaking English will be an advantage;
  • An understanding of how a Pre-sale engineer differs from a system administrator, DevOps, etc.;
  • Awareness of new products and trends in the server hardware market.
  • Ability and desire to learn a lot and quickly, including independently (obligatory);
  • Experience in setting up a network infrastructure (VPN, Vlan, link aggregation) - preferably, knowledge at the CCNA level will be an advantage;
  • Driver’s license and be ready to travel to Estonia and Lithuania.

Duties:

  • Designing complex solutions for IT infrastructure (SAN / NAS storage, backup systems, network equipment, virtualization systems, DLP systems, infrastructure software);
  • Providing consultations on products and solutions, identifying customer needs, preparing and agreeing on configurations;
  • Drawing up competitive comparisons, explanatory notes, technical specifications; 
  • Passing professional certification required for the distribution of hardware and software;
  • Presentations for partners and customers, participating in negotiations as a technical consultant.
