SAFE Shipping specializes in providing global ocean freight services. We have been operating on the Lithuanian/Latvian/Estonian market of maritime transport services since 2008. We are part of an international group of logistics companies USS United Shipping Services AB.


As the size and scope of our business increases, we are expanding our Team. Currently we have several positions open in the import and export departments, as well as sales across the Baltic States. We are looking for an ambitious person to join our team serving European exporters and importers as:

CUSTOMER SERVICE & OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

The role
As the Customer Service & Operations Specialist you will be responsible for end-to-end operational servicing of import and export shipments. You will maintain contact with customers and the carrier to provide quality customer service. Your duties will include shipment processing activities, controlling the correctness of the settlement of individual transactions, and operating the carrier and terminal applications. To be successful, you should be proactive in providing quality client service and handling pressure and responsibility in a fast-paced environment, in a timely and affective manner. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • handling of terminal operations for global shipping lines
  • updating clients about the status of their shipments
  • handling release of shipments to customers
  • controlling the settlement of customer accounts
  • preparing, controlling, and distributing all required documents 
  • finding solutions that satisfy customer need if issues occur

We are looking for:

  • 2 years+ in a customer facing role within the logistics industry
  • proven track record as customer service agent
  • good verbal and written English communication skills
  • self-motivated, disciplined, and precise 
  • customer-oriented approach, ready to build lasting relationships with customers
  • good communicator, able to work in a team, and under the pressure of time
