Digital Marketing Specialist

Job Summary

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, candidates will be expected to be responsible for the execution, management, reporting, and continuous optimization of digital marketing strategies to drive engagement and demand generation across channels (SEM, Social, Display, and 3rd party). The Digital Marketing Specialist will be expected to work within the marketing department to help with initiatives including but not limited to management of digital advertising plans with Google/Bing PPC, third parties, and directory listings; and management of web metrics reporting, management of MGI website, web content optimization/SEO, web content management, live chat, and other web tools.

Major Responsibilities
• Create and manage PPC programs with Google and Bing, including monitoring monthly budgets and spending according to performance;
• Plan content for and execute annual digital advertising programs with third parties and trade media on a timely basis;
• Act as an internal expert on Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, staying up to date on the latest capabilities, trends, and best practices;
• Track digital marketing performance and identify critical conversion points and drop-off points in the digital marketing funnel to optimize user journeys;
• Report on digital ad performance, identifying actionable plans for improvement as needed;
• Partner with product Marketing on the creation of a website roadmap to ensure ongoing improvements to MGI’s websites and related technologies;
• Support web production activities including editing and building web landing pages and forms, uploading and maintaining current versions of the website content;
• Partner with web development, IT, and other teams to troubleshoot and resolve website technical or performance issues;
• Collaborate with the marketing team to drive SEO in content creation;
• Manage a routine website QA review and maintenance schedule to find and resolve website content and technical issues proactively;
• Manage live chat program, including reviewing and testing playbooks to drive better user experiences and user journeys through the website;
• Implement and document consistent processes for the MGI’s web CMS and tools,
• Perform ongoing keyword research including optimization, discovery, and expansion of keyword opportunities;
• Devise and execute methods to track, report, analyze and improve SEO performance;
• Ensure consistent tracking, analysis, and reporting of annual website goals and core website KPIs such as page views, clicks, and conversions in various report formats;
• Identify actionable insights and trends from key metrics that help increase conversions from the website, enhance the corporate brand, and generate additional marketing opportunities;
• Deliver reports to the department and other stakeholders to track digital marketing effectiveness;
• Create Salesforce campaigns for associated digital advertising channels and support the creation of automated campaigns, content, and forms in Pardot;
• Continuously monitor internal and competitive performance to identify opportunities for improvement of digital marketing channels;
• Optimize digital marketing processes to help the marketing team and the company scale;
• Work cross-functionally with the marketing department and other internal/external stakeholders to achieve marketing campaign goals and objectives;
• Support the marketing department with tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Degree in marketing, digital technologies, or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, with additional experience in marketing/Life Sciences or biology;
• Minimum of 3 years experience in commercial marketing;
• Ability to identify opportunities to improve segmentation and identify gaps in key personas & contact information within target audiences;
• Experience using digital marketing technologies like Adwords, LinkedIn Advertising Platform, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Salesforce, and Excel to target and reach specific personas;
• Experience using an ABM platform and/or other marketing and sales technologies to orchestrate multi-channel, multi-step plays is a plus;
• Experience managing large media budgets and hitting goals for spend and other channel-based KPIs determined by the business;
• Experience running Google Adwords campaigns in multiple regions, languages, and publishers;
• Data-driven experience in marketing and web development is a plus;
• Organized individual with great attention to detail and focus on quality, self-motivated and a good team player;
• Require high levels of self-motivation and energy;
• Demonstrable ability to manage multiple complex individual and team assignments autonomously and execute on time;
• Excellent written and oral communications skills; working language is English.
