MOGO Uganda is part of Eleving Group – an international FinTech company with vast reach across the globe operating and with a strong online presence.
By combining asset financing, fintech, AI based underwriting and proprietary car portals MOGO Uganda enables local entrepreneurs (motorcycle taxi riders, Uber/Bolt drivers and other local entrepreneurs) to find and purchase their own vehicle.
We are looking for a Finance Manager to support our operations in Uganda and help achieve profitable growth in this fast-developing market.
What you will need:
• University degree in Finance, Economics or Business
• 2-4 years previous experience within the area of finance
• Hands-on approach and "getting things done" mindset
• Excellent analytical skills
• High sense of responsibility, preciseness, ability to plan and set priorities
• Fluent in English
• Excellent computer skills
What you will do:
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly financial reports and data analysis
• Improve financial reporting and analysis processes
• Ensure contribution in preparation company’s budget and financial forecasts
• Managing the banks (making/authorizing the payments, etc.)
• Fund-raising/investments: leading due diligence, contracting, reporting
• Cost management: analysis, leading costs saving initiatives
• Procurement: setting up procurement function, processes, approvals, managing major purchases
• Network with local and expat business leaders to gain market insights
