Job description
Group Risk Riga is an integrated part of the SEB Group Risk, currently consisting of 35 people. The department is responsible for a wide scope of risk-related processes and tasks for different entities within the SEB Group. Work is in close cooperation with colleagues in Latvia, Sweden, and other countries. The main working language is English.
Main responsibilities:
- Participating in daily and monthly counterparty and credit risk reporting for SEB Group;
- Identifying, analyzing, and implementing improvements related to processes and calculations according to external regulations and internal SEB policies;
- Monitoring and communicating counterparty and credit risk exposure changes and trends to a wide range of professionals throughout SEB Group;
- Data-driven and technical development in close cooperation with the Technology department and other stakeholders;
- Taking a leading role in onboarding new processes, controls, and risk calculations;
- Ad-hoc reporting for risk analysis or other purposes;
- Project work and support for bank-wide initiatives related to counterparty and credit risk.
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, IT, or similar;
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in financial sector;
- Good understanding of financial instruments and banking products;
- Experience working with databases or programming (SQL, VBA, Python, or similar)
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills;
- Proactive, continuous improvement-oriented attitude and ability to work independently;
- Fluent in English;
- Knowledge of counterparty credit risk-related regulatory requirements and calculations would be considered a strong advantage.
