Over the last 3.5 years xpate with its team has had a wild ride and managed to do a lot. And still we are nowhere near done. As of Q4 2022, we have dived into designing a new product to launch: a payment solution that would allow any merchant SME to accept payments online, get immediate access to their settlements and use the obtained cashflow according to their business needs. All this within the xpate ecosystem. In the next 3-4 months, we want to transform this product idea into a launched, regulated disruptive business.

What it takes to be a Financial Controller at xpate. You need to:

- have 3-year experience in an audit company (preferably BIG4);
- have an experience of conducting an audit from business side;
- have a higher education in accounting, economics or finance field;
- Fluent in English;
- be accurate and be an experienced user of MS Office and various accounting programs;

What you will do:

- improve the customer experience, directly or indirectly;
- prepare companies under xpate group for external financial audit (e.g. conducting internal mini-audit before a statutory audit);
- liaise with external auditors on daily basis;
- coordinate whole documentation flow between xpate company and external auditors;
- coordinate and prepare required information together with the accounting department;
- help with preparation of statutory FS (if needed);
- implement accounts closing procedures;
- work with external tax/legal advisors to solve complex issues;
- assess an implementation of internal audit functions;
- advise on accounting process optimisation;
- take on other ad-hoc tasks related to audits, accounting and taxes;
- show creativity and ownership of your area of responsibility.

You will work closely with:

Alex who is our Senior Financial Manager. While he takes care of all aspects of operational financial functions, you will collaborate closely on preparation to and ongoing statutory audits. Be ready to navigate both high level and in details as well as take on very practical aspects of financial, tax, accounting, audit functions with him.
