As Country and Bank Credit Analyst in Financial Institution (FI) team your primary task will be to ensure comprehensive country and bank risk analysis, prepare and present credit proposals for approval within agreed terms with business units.  As well you will organize the work of FI Credit Committee and provide various reporting and portfolios overview on the area of your responsibility to internal stakeholders and senior management.

What You Will Do:

• Assess sovereign risk, credit and settlement risk for financial institutions, preparing high-quality risk limit proposals and presenting them to decision makers
• Make credit decisions within approved authorization level 
• Follow up news and monitor EWS on financial markets, banking sectors and portfolio banks and exchange information with relevant stakeholders
• Perform regular credit rating review process and initiate review of risk positions upon discovery of adverse information/ EWS by applying appropriate risk-based decisions
• Present the overview of risk limit portfolios to senior management
  
• Initiate the content and organizing the work of FI Credit Committees
• Maintain approved risk limit system and ensuring various reporting on financial institutions area
• Provide input and participating in the projects related to the improvement of credit risk framework for financial institutions

What We Expect:

• Strong analytical skills of financial and credit risk analysis; experience or deep understanding of assessing credit risk of banks will be considered as preference
• Understanding basics of sovereign risk analysis (macroeconomic, political, commercial climate, regulatory environment etc.)
• Knowledge of Trade Finance, Markets and Treasury product specifics and risk drivers
• Proficiency in MS Excel and previous experience with MS Access and BI tools will be considered as an advantage
• High ethical standards, strong sense of responsibility and commitment to results
  
• Thoroughness, accuracy and accountability
• Fluent English and Latvian, both in spoken and written
