Norwegian is continuing to grow and has opened new Riga Support Office where already more than 170 dedicated and passionate employees from Customer Care, Finance, IT and Procurement teams are supporting our travellers and business units.

We are looking for new colleague to join us at the position of

INFLIGHT RETAIL BUSINESS CONTROLLER

Inflight Retail department is responsible for products and services which Norwegian travellers are enjoying on board.
In this position you will be responsible for onboard sales business analysis and controlling agenda. Within the field of business controlling, you will support internal and external stakeholders with financial and business insights. You`ll be based in Riga, Latvia, but on daily basis you`ll collaborate and communicate with colleagues from various departments and also with our main external stakeholder – external retail service provider. As this is a new role within Inflight Retail, we believe this will be an exciting journey which will give you the opportunity to influence and develop the ways of working.

Main objectives and responsibilities in this position will be:
• Prepare inflight retail performance reports based on the onboard sales data.
• Summarize main findings from inflight retail performance data, draw insights and develop recommendations for improvements and business development.
• Perform monthly sales and profitability analysis.
• Evaluate business processes; develop and implement optimization strategies.
• Perform cost control and analysis.
• Collaborate closely with Category Manager and Operations Manager, share best practices and drive improvements.
• Act as a sparring partner for other internal and external stakeholders, including the external retail partner for Inflight Retail.
• Take a proactive role in identifying and prioritizing initiatives to create maximum value for the business.

Requirements for this position are:
• Minimum 5 years of experience at similar position and/or financial audit.
• Academic degree within the area of Finance, Business Administration, Economics or similar area.
• Academically strong in accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP and reporting systems, preferably SAP.
• Good Excel, PowerPoint and IT systems competence.
• Work in international environment is preferred.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Motivated by finding answers and solutions to problems.
• Practical and hands-on approach to tasks.
• Self-driven, positive, proactive, able to take own initiatives.
• Structured and able to prioritize under time pressure.

Salary starting from 2200 Eur gross per month, depending on candidate`s competencies, experience and skills relevant for position.

Travel will be required occasionally.
