Otto International Scan-Thor Baltics is currently seeking out an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Controller/Furniture Specialist, who possesses comprehensive knowledge and experience in the field of furniture construction and production.

How will you make a difference?

• Serve as a focal point for assigned client portfolio/quality in the Company;
• Ensure effective and efficient liaison with pertinent stakeholders (factories/suppliers, clients, colleagues) to expediate workflows and coordination of assigned quality portfolio;
• Monitor production and report on various production phases and/if any divinations with regard to quality, production process or delivery issues;
• Monitor all quality aspects, including product client manuals, product/order specifications and blueprints to understand product requirements for each client and order;
• Monitor, plan and carry out necessary quality assessment measures (product reviews, inspection etc.) of the orders ready to be shipped;
• Reject all defected products/goods that do not meet the requirements and report the quality claim to respective departments/focal-points;
• Prepare documentation of the inspection process including detailed reports and performance records;
• Proactively resolve all quality related matters and adhere to specified deadlines;
• Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met
• Contribute to technical skill development/ technical capacity building within the Company by facilitating ad hoc training sessions for the team as required;
• Develop graphs, reports and other pertinent analytical summaries & presentations upon request from the relevant stakeholders;
• Report to quality manager and top management on regular basis.

Who are we looking for?

• Professional degree or equivalent in woodworking /furniture manufacturing;
• At least 3 years relevant working experience in furniture industry (construction, production or similar)
• Knowledge of relevant quality standards and technical processes
• Responsible, organized, detail-minded with analytical mindset
• Excellent conflict management and negotiation skills
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills
• Ability to work remotely and independently
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Professional working fluency in English and/or German, Russian will be considered an asset.
• As an advantage, knowledge of e-commerce and retail
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to undertake regular travels in the Baltics and other EU Countries.
