For our DB Engineering & Consulting team in Baltics, we are seeking for a Contract Manager.

Responsibilities:

. Provide advice to the project managers of the ongoing Rail Baltica projects with respect to DB E&C’s own consultancy contracts with the Employers
. Act as Contract Manager in Design/Build contracts between Employers and Contractors under supervision/consultancy by DB E&C (e.g. as Engineer per FIDIC Yellow Book)
. Assess and recommend on applications for extensions of time (EOT), claims for additional payments, contract variations, changes in scope, etc.
. Review all claims and provide advice on validity, their effects on the construction schedule and the cost of project
. Advise with respect to arbitration and litigation relating design and construction works
. Prepare cash flow forecasts
. Comprehensive and independent representation of DB E&C's contractual interests in infrastructure projects
. Ensure comprehensive and strategic contractual advice in all matters related to construction projects, taking into account contract/legal situation, DB Group requirements and the economic interests of DB E&C
. Support bid teams with risk analysis
. Review tender documents for contracts related to railway infrastructure projects
. Create extensive and complex contracts
. Ensure execution of complex contract negotiations with considerable economic or strategic importance for DB E&C
. Support DB E&C in the out-of-court enforcement of claims on extensive and complex issues
. Prepare contractual opinions and statements to ensure high quality claim management

Qualifications:

. University degree in Law would be a plus
. At least 5 years post-graduate experience
. Experience in construction or engineering companies
. Experience in drafting, negotiating and executing complex international contracts
. Experience in reviewing tenders or conducting due diligence
. Local (Latvian) Procurement law
. Experience working on FIDIC contracts would be an advantage
. Business fluency in English and Latvian, other languages would be a plus
. High level of accountability and ability to work independently
. Very experienced in claim management, variation orders and extensions of time (EOT) and payment issues
. Resilient, flexible, independent and well-structured working approach and ability to work under pressure
. Experience in working in international teams
. Intercultural competence and willingness to international business travel
