Position Summary
Process and pay on time all supplier invoices in accordance with accounting standards, process guidelines, internal control procedures, and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
What you will do:
- Process all suppliers’ invoices in the ERP system: “documented” invoices through the 3-way match against Purchase Order and receipt, “non-documented” invoices through the 2-way match against Approval;
- Accurately and timely perform the accounts payable month-end closing activities;
- Identify, escalate, and collaborate with a supplier or internally with Purchasing, responsible people at the site, or the Local finance manager to solve any discrepancies related to payables (f.e., tax issues, price, quantity);
- Support and follow the internal control process related to accounts payable scope;
- Follow the setup in Norit's ERP system related to invoice processing (f.e., payment terms, bank details, supplier name) and initiate changes if necessary;
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement process by initiating improvement ideas, joining workshops, and engaging in implementation.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- A bachelor's degree (can be a last-year student) in accounting or finance;
- Proven work experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably in a multinational company;
- Very good literacy of Microsoft Office programs (especially with Excel);
- Very good English language skills (both: written and spoken);
- Continues Improvement mindset;
- Great communication and negotiation skills;
- Detail and solutions-oriented.
