Latvia MGI Tech, a part of BGI Group - one of the world’s leading genomics organizations, is looking for a Senior Accountant.

As Senior Accountant at Latvia MGI Tech You will:
• Keep and implement best accounting practices, policies, and procedures for European businesses.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax processes in accordance with local legislation and prepare tax returns.
• Look after expense invoices, including but not limited to purchased goods and inventory, customs documents, and making bank payments.
• Take care of monthly Trial balance accounts review and corrective actions in strong cooperation with FSSC in China.
• Prepare various reports to state institutions and group companies.
• Participate in the annual financial statements preparation and cooperate with auditors.
• Organize and lead the count of fixed assets and inventory regularly and compare to the system data.
• Execute other projects and tasks within the area of responsibility.

To be effective in this position You have:
• Highest Degree, preferably in Finance, Accountancy, or MBA, and readiness to learn on the job.
• Experience in full-cycle accounting, including tax calculations.
• Knowledge of local legislation in the field of accounting and taxation.
• Proven expertise in Excel and preferably- Oracle finance and accounting systems.
• Fluent in Latvian and English languages, both spoken and written.
• Drive towards excellence and customer focus, positive can-do approach.
• Strong problem-solving skills and strive for high quality and great accuracy in the information.
• Ability to work independently in a high-paced environment and to collaborate within the team.
