Are you a safety-conscious individual with a passion for global hazard communication and compliance? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our allnex Global Business Service Center (GBS) in Riga as a Hazard Communication Associate!
As a Hazard Communication Associate, you will work alongside our Hazard Communication Manager and Specialists to ensure that all allnex personnel and customers around the world have access to the latest information about our products and raw materials. You will utilize your knowledge of hazard classification and regulatory requirements to provide safety data sheets and labels to our business units and plants in a timely and cost-effective manner, all while ensuring that our products are transported and classified according worldwide regulations.

Responsibilities
- Conducting hazard and regulatory assessments for allnex materials on a global scale, in accordance with the HazCom process, to support allnex businesses
- Classifying products according to worldwide regulations for the transportation of Dangerous Goods, labeling, and Commerce Control classifications
- Creating Safety Data Sheets and product regulatory labeling in various formats and languages, ensuring documents are prepared by the necessary deadlines to meet customer needs
- Providing technical support to ensure global compliance with chemical control laws, including determining chemical inventory classifications and collaborating with the PSRA regulatory compliance team
- Collaborating with product stewards and supply chain teams to manage and implement product regulatory knowledge, as well as reviewing and approving new product requests
- Participating in data enhancement projects, such as gathering data for new regulations and integration projects.
Requirements
- A technical degree with a background in chemistry is required, and a BS or advanced degree in chemistry, toxicology, or environmental science is preferred
- Previous experience in hazard assessment, SDS/label authoring, and product regulatory compliance is a plus but not required
- Upper-intermediate (B2) verbal and written English skills are necessary
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Accountability, motivation, and dedication to meeting or exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and track day-to-day work and multiple projects, and be flexible as business needs and priorities change
- Ability to solve problems and make sound business decisions quickly
