Position overview
Allnex Latvia is looking for an enthusiastic IT Field Engineer to join the team! As the single point of contact in our Riga office, you will be ensuring flawless onboarding & offboarding of new colleagues, taking the initiative to continuously improve the employee experience, participating in global projects and supporting users collaborating with our global ServiceDesk. Representing the Riga office, you will be joining a dynamic global team of IT Operations Leads and Field Engineers across the world.

Responsibilities
- Ensure a timely preparation of IT equipment for new colleagues and provide IT training to get them started.
- Manage local IT assets, maintain stock and CMDB.
- Install, maintain and improve digital tools such as video rooms, whiteboards, etc.
- Participate in local and global projects (Roll-outs, Trainings, Business Continuity Planning.
- Assist our Global Servicedesk with incidents and requests concerning the Riga location.
- Maintain good relationships with local management, assist and advise them on any IT related topics.
- Administer, maintain and improve local contracts and vendor contacts. (Telecom, IT Equipment)
- Responsible for maintaining local IT infrastructure, assisted and guided by the global teams (Networks, Servers, Backups, Cabling, Datarooms)
- Ensure global operating policies, procedures and guidelines are well implemented on a local level.
Requirements
- 1 year professional experience in a similar position.
- 1 year experience in implementing IT technical solutions
- Experience in IT support function
- Good technical knowledge and experience in IT Infrastructure & Application Landscape.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a must.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Act as a team player with good interpersonal skills.
