As Accounts Payable Accountant of Roche Services (Europe) Ltd. Finance department, you will be part of the team that deliver and execute on the day-to-day activities according to the agreed service level in the accounts payable field and in compliance with the SOPs of the respective business sub-process.
You will contribute actively to daily work coordination in line with leadership guidance and continuously improve the performance of process and / or contribute in creating new ones.

Key job responsibilities

Management of incoming documents (electronic and or hard copies) including verification, issue resolution and follow up communication
Process and validate all types of invoices, credit notes and file uploads against vendor accounts (including inter-company and employee vendors)
End to end management payments: including but not limited to general issue resolution and resolution of unsuccessful payments, prevention of duplicated payments, IDOC management
Reconciliation activities: for vendor accounts (including debit balance management, open item management, clearing, etc) and for G/L accounts in the scope of the department
Vendor management and internal business inquiries resolution
Reporting activities according to SOPs and additional country specific reporting needs both in an ad hoc and scheduled way
Support knowledge retention in the area: creating and updating process documentation and supporting materials
Contribute in internal and external audit activities, is aware and act fully according to ICFR and audit requirements
Welcoming improvements and best practices, acting with focus on stakeholder partnership
Support D2P management with ad hoc activities in case of need

Who you are

You bring the following skills and competencies:
• University degree in Finance and accounting and/or related economics subjects
• 1+ years of Finance and/or accounting experience
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) is a must (additional language skills is a plus)
• General understanding of finance processes and standards
• Broad experience in accounts payable processes (or related field) and using SAP is an advantage
• Strong communication and advisory skills
• Ability to deal with complex issues with the aim of bringing efficiency and simplicity
• Customer centricity through your day-to-day interactions
• End-to-end accountability, problem-solving skills, growth & agile mindset in ambiguous situations
• Multi-cultural acceptance, ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
