The Role:
As a Functional Architect, you will play a critical role in supporting R&D and project initiatives by leveraging your deep understanding of current system functionality. You will design and implement enhancements to the Sapiens Life and Pension policy administration system, crafting innovative solutions within a dynamic ecosystem.

Tasks include:  
  • Solution Design Support: Assist in designing comprehensive project solutions aligned with overall system architecture.
  • Documentation: Develop and review end-to-end solutions for policy administration system enhancements, ensuring timely delivery of Requirements and Design Documents.
  • Functional Analysis: Analyze existing system functionality to identify necessary enhancements that meet business needs.
  • Consultation: Act as a consultant in internal and external workshops on requirements and design.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Lead BA/PD/PM to address key project factors, including actions, risks, and decisions.
  • Technical Review: Evaluate Technical Design Specifications and support development during the build phase.
  • Testing: Review test scripts, support testing activities, and help define acceptance criteria.
  • Best Practices: Ensure adherence to Sapiens processes and best practices.
  • Client Consultancy: Provide expert functional analysis, design advice, and consultancy throughout the project.
  • Peer Review and Configuration: Participate in peer reviews and support system configuration as per design documentation.
  • Product Material & Training: Maintain updated product materials and support training sessions.

What to Have for this position:
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years as a Functional Architect in life, pensions, or annuity systems.
  • Integration Projects: Proven experience in policy administration and integration platforms.
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of life and pension products and processes.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with database systems, SQL, and Excel; additional programming languages are a plus.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
Good-to-Have Skills:
  • Relevant System Experience: Experience with life or pensions policy administration systems, digital platforms, and BI tools.
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with collaborative and agile working methods.
  • Educational Background: BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, or similar.
  • Additional Language Skills: Proficiency in other European languages.
